Boston Acoustics has reinvented its original iPod dock and radio to come up with the Duo-i Plus.

A new electrical layout has gained 'works with iPhone' certification and matched to new amplification circuitry, BA is touting significantly improved sound quality and functionality.

The Duo-i employs two 3.5in drive units and BassTrac processing to throw its sound around, complemented by the self-damping ABS curved cabinet.

There are 'his n hers' alarm clocks, touch sensitive trim snooze bar, ambient light settings, blue backlit LCD and four colour options alongside white and black.

It does, of course, also benefit from Boston Acoustics' extensive personal options plan where you can go for coloured grilles at a cost.

The FM radio, MP3 connectivity, headphone socket and RCA ins and outs, video out and magnetised remote control round out the  package.
